Arusha, Manyara and Ngorongoro Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, your driver will transfer you to Arusha town, where you'll check in at the Arusha Planet Lodge for an overnight stay. Take this time to relax and prepare for the start of your safari the next day. If you'd like, you can enjoy a city tour as an optional activity, exploring the Maasai Market, Arusha Museum, local markets, and cultural heritage sites. In the evening, you'll receive a detailed briefing about your tour and all the key details of your package.

Day 2

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will meet you at your accommodation to begin your journey to Lake Manyara National Park. This small but diverse park gets its name from a shallow saltwater lake that dominates much of its area. The lake, which fluctuates with the seasons, attracts thousands of flamingos and is home to around 500 bird species. During your visit, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including buffalo, elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, and wildebeests. If you’re fortunate, you might even spot lions lounging in the trees. The park is famous for its diverse landscapes, ranging from expansive grassy plains and primate-filled woodlands to dramatic cliffs adorned with ancient baobab trees.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll set out for a game drive in Tarangire National Park, taking along a packed lunch. This stunning park is renowned for having the highest concentration of breeding bird species and a significant population of elephants. Wildlife is especially abundant during the dry season, with sightings of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as the rare kudu, oryx, and gerenuks. As gazelles, zebras, and wildebeests gather around the Tarangire River, predators take the opportunity to hunt. By late afternoon, you’ll head to tour Lodge, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Day 4

Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll journey to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into this breathtaking caldera for an early morning game drive. Home to around 30,000 animals, including the iconic Big Five, the crater is teeming with wildlife such as elephants, zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, baboons, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino. The ever-changing clouds and vibrant colors create a scene so stunning it feels almost surreal. Recognized for its extraordinary natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater has been named one of Africa's Seven Natural Wonders.

In the evening, you’ll head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater to Central Serengeti National Park

After enjoying breakfast, you’ll set off on your journey to Serengeti National Park, reaching the park in the early afternoon. Once there, your game drive will continue, giving you ample opportunity to explore the park’s incredible wildlife and scenery. As the day draws to a close, you’ll be treated to a spectacular sunset over the Serengeti’s expansive plains. In the late evening, you’ll travel to your lodge to enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Day 6

Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti National Park

On this day, you’ll start bright and early with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a game drive in the Central Serengeti. Later, you’ll head toward the Northern Serengeti to follow the incredible wildebeest migration. While the calving season occurs between January and March, the great migration itself shifts yearly, with the prime viewing period from July to early October. Your driver will guide you to the northern Serengeti, where you can witness the breathtaking spectacle of wildebeest crossing the Mara River. After a full day of wildlife exploration, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7

Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park

You’ll begin your day early with a hearty breakfast before setting out on a game drive in the Northern Serengeti. In the afternoon, your adventure will take you back to the Central Serengeti, continuing your exploration of the region’s wildlife. In the Northern Serengeti, you’ll have another opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring migration as wildebeest cross the Mara River. After a rewarding day of wildlife encounters, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 8

Fly Out from Serengeti Seronera Airstrip

Your day will begin early as you pack up your belongings and embark on a sunrise game drive, soaking in the beauty of the Serengeti at dawn. Following this memorable experience, you’ll make your way to Seronera Airstrip for your early afternoon flight out of the Serengeti. We bid you a warm farewell and wish you a peaceful and rejuvenating stay in Zanzibar.
